What is This Tool?

A network data generator creates realistic mock IP addresses, MAC addresses, subnet masks, and other network identifiers. Generate IPv4, IPv6, private/public ranges, and properly formatted MAC addresses for testing network tools, firewalls, and monitoring systems.

Network testing requires diverse address data: private (RFC 1918) and public IPv4, link-local and global IPv6, unicast and multicast MACs, and valid subnet configurations. This generator produces format-correct data across all common network identifier types.

Common Use Cases

Network Tool Testing

Test network monitoring, SNMP, and asset discovery tools with realistic IP and MAC address data.

Firewall Rule Testing

Generate IP addresses from various ranges to test firewall rules, ACLs, and network security policies.

DHCP & DNS Testing

Populate test DHCP scopes and DNS zones with realistic network data for server testing.

Log Analysis Development

Generate synthetic network logs with realistic IP addresses for testing SIEM and log analysis tools.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are generated IPs real?

IP addresses follow valid format rules but are randomly generated. Public IPs may coincidentally belong to real organizations.

Can I generate private-only IPs?

Yes. Generate addresses exclusively from RFC 1918 private ranges (10.x, 172.16-31.x, 192.168.x) for safe internal testing.

What MAC address formats are supported?

Colon-separated (00:1A:2B:3C:4D:5E), hyphen-separated (00-1A-2B-3C-4D-5E), and dot-separated (001A.2B3C.4D5E) Cisco format.
